Mermerli Beach
Mermerli beach which is the only beach by the high travertine cliff extending to the both sides of marina, is located in a small recess to the south of the harbor. The beach takes its the name from the mansion that once stood on the high terrace to the southeast of the marina. Before Antalya became a world brand in tourism, the Mermerli beach was used by the local population as it was the only beach inKaleiçi. The Mermerli beach by the marina on the coast, behind it the walls and towers carrying the texture of a history of thousands years, on both sides the gorgeous travertine cliffs, and across the Gulf of Antalya with a calm sea and with the rising ranks of the majestic peaks of Beydağları, offerthe visitor a stunning landscape and environment. It is possible to watch this same view from the restaurant on the high terrace above the beach. Local historians relate around the 1930 there was an area employed as a bathing place near the shore then surrounded by a wood. Also in 1970's following the opening to public use of the beach, are said it was used in the lunch time by the man and in the afternoon by the women
