Mermerli beach which is the only beach by the high travertine cliff extending to the both sides of marina, is located in a small recess to the south of the harbor. The beach takes its the name from the mansion that once stood on the high terrace to the southeast of the marina. Before Antalya became a world brand in tourism, the Mermerli beach was used by the local population as it was the only beach inKaleiçi. Local historians relate around the 1930 there was an area employed as a bathing place near the shore then surrounded by a wood.
