Pazar Bath
The building also called as Ottoman Bath and the Double Baths because of the building’s date and its dual function is close to Kale Kapısı in a location to serve the intense commercial activities of the settlement beyond the city walls. There is the Balbey Mosque and Inn with One Door and Inn with Two Doors close to this building. The building’s original function was a bathhouse of the Early Ottoman Period (16th century), today it houses commercial activities within the scope of retailing souvenirs, something completely different in terms of function. The building built as a double baths consisting of the baths for men in the west and baths for women in the east, is the most massive and largest of the historical bath buildings of Antalya. Main walls and outer layer of the structure of the building, which was was built from rubble stone with cut stone blocks employed mainly for the door frame and window openings. The largest area of the building is dressing room for men section that also forms the entrance today. This space is covered with a high dome. The tepidarium with three domes is reached through an opening in north wall of this space. The caldarium that can be reached from here has four iwans and four khalvat chambers. There is an octagonal navel stone in the center of the space. The entrance to the female section from the east facade has a more humble plan and size. After the females dressing room that is partially covered by a dome one passes into caldarium that has three iwans and two corner khalvats.
