Mayor Uysal attended the Bender Castle Festival
Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal attended the festival held in the name of Bender Castle, the last border castle of the Ottoman Empire, in the Transnistrian Autonomous Republic of Moldova, which took place in the last three years of the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival.
Mayor  Uysal made a return visit to the city of Bender in the Transnistrian Autonomous Republic of Moldova, which was home to Bender, the last border fortress of the Ottoman Empire, which joined the Ottoman lands during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent and was named after him in 1538.

Mayor Uysal participated in the Bender Castle Festival in the city, which took place in the last three years of the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival, which was held for the 6th time this year. In addition to his bilateral meetings, President Uysal also toured the castle, which was built from earth and wood on the banks of the Dniester River, but was rebuilt from stone after the conquest by Suleiman the Magnificent. Mayor Uysal also met with President Vadim Krasnoselski in Transnistria.

Mayor Uysal also paid a courtesy visit to Comrat, the capital of Gagauzia Autonomous Region, another participant of Kaleiçi Old Town Festival in Moldova.
