The Czech-Turkish Cooperation Park was opened at the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival with a delegation from Prague 6. Located at the intersection of 1939-1940 streets, the park includes a children's playground, fitness area and resting areas, as well as a 700 square meter tea garden. “The Czech-Turkish Cooperation Park was opened in Prague this year. We would like to thank all the Czech people and Prague 6 Municipality for this. We are pleased to have transferred our cooperation to the Kaleiçi Old Town Festival. We were working together within the framework of our festival on the idea of protecting cultural assets. It was a separate pleasure to see Prague 6 at our festival this year. I think that we will greatly advance our friendship with Turkey and the Czech Republic, especially Muratpaşa, Prague 6 and Pribor Municipality. Cultural assets are very valuable and a very valuable field of work for Prague 6. However, apart from this, we also want to develop our cooperation in the fields of high technology, software, electronics and entrepreneurial climate. We will have some offers for you in the upcoming period regarding what we can do in this field. We will also evaluate that.”
Mayor Uysal also announced that a relief of the famous writer Franz Kafka will be added to the park that was opened as a literature enthusiast.
Prague 6 Mayor Kozeyn expressed his happiness to be in Antalya on the 10th anniversary of their cooperation with Muratpaşa. Following the speeches, the mayors cut the red ribbon and completed the opening of the park.
