Perge’s daughter, Plancia Magna, managed to immortalize
herself with everything she put forward. So much so that this at-
titude and attitude of Magna against the patriarchal order about
2000 years ago constitutes a very important example for today’s
women.
Perge Ancient City is located in the Aksu district of Antalya.
The Portrait sculpture of Plancia Magna, which was recovered
from the Perge excavations, is now exhibited in the Antalya Mu-
seum.
Excavations in the city of Perge are carried out under the
chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Sedef Çokay Kepçe from istanbul
Üniversity Archaeology Department.
