Aspendos Theatre

There is no doubt that mankind has made its greatest manifesta-
tions for love since its first existence. Although it usually lost in terms
of the energy and time spent, of course, there were also very good
things that love gained. Here is a love achievement built for the sake
of the beautiful Belkıs, the Aspendos Theater in Antalya’s Serik dis-
trict, which still hosts very important shows today. That’s why it’s the
Belkıs Theater. This myth, which circulates even today, is one of the
biggest love stories of Antalya.
Belkıs was the only and beautiful daughter of the governor of
Aspendos. His father took care of her all through her childhood.
However, time has passed and Belkis is now at the age of marriage.
The young Princess has become so beautiful that the men who saw
her could not take their eyes off the beautiful Belkis. Many young
men volunteered to marry the beautiful princess and knocked on
the palace’s door. The governor of Aspendos, who was quite sur-
prised by this situation, decided to organize a competition among
