The ruler Kherei had such a tomb built in the sacred agora
around 425 BC The four sides of his grave; he had decorated
with his ancestral lineage with Lycian inscriptions in which he
described his gods and heroism. The surrounding of the burial
chamber; he had decorated with reliefs depicting the heroism
he had described in the inscriptions, so that those who could not
read could see and learn the greatness of the ruler from these.
