So says the Oinoanda philosopher Diogenes in the world’s
longest philosophical inscription. He gives advice to people. But
this is only a very short part of his thoughts. Because his mes-
sage to humanity is about 80 meters long and 4 meters high.
This monumental inscription consisting of 25 thousand words is
undoubtedly the largest inscription in the ancient world.
“..True happiness is in science, not in the luxuries of life.”
